I'm using Game Bar to track usages, and noticed that CPU is typically at around 55% while GPU usage varies a lot, but has only maxed out once so far, and that was, oddly, during a cut scene. I have everything set to highest except ray-tracing which is just on high, and I have DLSS on quality. Clearly the CPU is the weak link in my build at this point. I have a 6700k, 16GB of RAM and just upgraded to a 4070 ti. Yeah, I'm trying to suss out the performance issues too.
So for anyone thinking of buying Hogwarts legacy on pc: Please wait until they fix these issues. I regret pre-ordering the game big time, it's just not a fun experience this way. I hope that Avalanche makes this their top priority of fixing.
I think this is a huge slap in the face for pc gamers. I have to turn everything to low settings with DLSS on for it even to be somewhat of a playable game.īut even then i have constant fps drops and stutters, lighting issues, and more. For reference, I get steady 60fps in a game like RDR2 with everything on high (1440P). Not the most powerful build but certainly above average. Not only did pc gamers NOT get 72 hours of early access compared to console gamers as promised, but we also got a version of the game with huge performance issues and bugs. as a pc gamer, I've been nothing but very disappointed. Everyone who has pre-ordered the deluxe edition can dive into the harry potter universe. Yesterday (7th of Feb) Hogwarts legacy early access started.
